1 July 2011 Electricity Price Changes

From 1 July 2011 regulated electricity rates for households and small businesses in New South Wales increased.

Regulated rates are jointly determined by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) and Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) and are usually adjusted on 1 July each year. The price increases are due to a combination of increased Network costs and costs associated with the Federal Government’s Renewable Energy Target (RET) scheme.
