Blacktown Solar City

 

Blacktown Solar City is a $37 million project that will see a concentrated deployment of:

 

• Over one megawatt (1MW) of solar PV technology
• 2,000 solar hot water systems
• 30,000 energy efficiency packs
• 1,400 demand management measures
• 500 standby power reports
• 1,000 household pricing trials
• 3,500 energy consultations, and
• 4,000 smart meters

 

By the end of the project the Blacktown City community will be saving 22 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity, 24,900 tonnes of CO2 and $3 million per annum.
