The outcome

On the basis of these assessments, Integral Energy is proceeding to build its new Granville Zone Substation in Elizabeth Street. The substation is due to be completed by summer 2012.

 

Integral Energy has designed the substation to blend with the surrounding area and incorporate feedback from residents including:

 

• An indoor substation within an architecturally designed building.  It will look like a modern two storey home with residential style windows, louvres and pergolas (click here to view artists impression of Granville Zone Substation in five to ten years time)
• cables to/from the substation will be placed underground
• the site will be landscaped with mature trees on the substation side of Elizabeth St once construction is complete.

 

Integral Energy will keep the community informed of key project milestones.
