Integral has been exclusively retained by Alder Group to appoint a General Manager – Information, Data & Technology, a critical executive leadership role responsible for shaping and leading the organisation’s technology, data and digital future.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Corporate Services, this is the organisation’s most senior technology leadership position.

You will own the end-to-end strategy, architecture, performance and evolution of Alder Group’s technology landscape — operating across both strategic and operational domains to drive meaningful, enterprise-wide outcomes.

This is a build + influence role — ideal for a leader who thrives in shaping capability, driving transformation and embedding scalable, future-ready systems and data practices.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Leadership

Define and execute a forward-looking technology strategy aligned to business growth

Develop a single, prioritised enterprise roadmap

Establish governance frameworks and deliver board-level insights and reporting

Position data governance as a core pillar of the organisation

Transformation & Delivery

Lead major technology and digital initiatives across the organisation

Operate hands-on in complex or high-risk delivery environments

Ensure strategy is translated into practical, executable outcomes

Platforms, Architecture & Integration

Drive modernisation and integration of enterprise platforms

Define and govern data architecture, APIs and system integrations

Champion user-centric design and digital optimisation

Data, Analytics & AI

Establish and uplift enterprise data governance and controls

Shape a unified data strategy for reporting, forecasting and analytics

Build organisational data literacy and capability

IT Operations & Cyber Security

Oversee IT operations, SLAs, performance and service delivery

Lead cybersecurity strategy, risk and compliance

Ensure resilience, business continuity and incident management capability

Leadership & Culture

Lead and develop a high-performing technology, data and operations team

Foster a culture of accountability, clarity and continuous improvement

Partner across the business to uplift digital capability

Commercial & Vendor Management

Manage key technology vendors and partners

Oversee technology budgets and long-term investment strategy

Ensure commercial value and performance outcomes

About You

  • 10+ years’ experience in IT, including senior or executive leadership roles
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise technology strategy and transformation
  • Strong background across architecture, platforms, data and digital delivery
  • Ability to influence at executive and board level
  • Hands-on, pragmatic leadership style with a focus on outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder, commercial and vendor management capability

Experience within construction, engineering or project-based environments is advantageous but not essential.
